Ecofiction for Children
Ecofiction: fictional writing where concerns for the environment play a strong part in the plot.
Here are some wonderful read-aloud books with powerful environmental messages for children ages 5 – 10. As you read, be sure to take time to discuss the pictures. As the plot progresses, ask questions about how the main character feels, and why. At the end of the story, talk about what we all can do to help nature and this beautiful world we live in!
