Ok, so now that we know about climate change, what are we going to do about it?!? Here are some ideas!

American 5th graders show lots of ways to reduce air pollution to slow down climate change.

I think carpooling is a great thing to do. Unless you have a hybrid. Hybrids run on gas and electricity. When you carpool, less fossil fuels would get burnt. Carbon dioxide is one of the most common greenhouse gas. The more it gets in the air means the warmer it gets.

Kids can turn off the light when they leave the room this can help because we don’t have to burn fossil fuels.

I like your idea, it’s a great idea for kids to unplug chargers when they’re not in use. I also think kids can watch less TV and play less video games, therefore using less energy.

That is good because when you put your phone in the charger and take it out that is using a power plant. That is why you should unplug your charger.

I agree and another way kids can help is by not use the lights so much

Unplugging the chargers that are not being use helps climate change because when they are plugged in, they are burning fossil fuels, and fossil fuels create air polution which creates climate change and global warming.

Kids can recycle, it helps because then factory’s are then producing less plastic and that means less pollution. They can also turn off lights when they leave a room, because light needs electrisaty to run and the power plants produce carbon dioxsid. They can also unplug chargers when they leave a room, because the pluged in chargers keep using electriaty.

I know that kids can do alot. We can recycle all our bottles from school, We can purswade our parents to use less electricity through out the day, and we can buy food with little amounts of pacaging on them.

I have been recycling at home. I think everyone should recycle so not as much carbon go into the air. I have also been convincing my family members to take shorter showers and turn off the lights when you are not using them.

Yeah I definetly agree. And we should also remember this is going to be our future unless we do something about it. We can’t put a stop to it, but we sure can try. Me at home i’m recycling . If everyone does their part to slow down global warming .Our lives will be much easier.

I agree with you Nick if kids recycle then we won’t use as much fossil fuel because we won’t have to burn it. Turning off lights saves energy and light and the less bulbs we use we don’t have to make more. L.E.D. lights are also great because they save more energy.

I agree with you. At home I am also turning off lights. Almost every day I take the bus to school. If everyone does these small things, we can work together to slow down climate change.

Kids can also spread the word about recycling and global warming. Kids can make sure that other kids are turning of lights.

Recycling helps slow down global warming because when you recycle the recycling center turns the things you recycled into something new. When you don’t recycle in order to make something brand new you have to burn fossil fuels and that causes global warming.

Recycling helps global warming because instead of burning more fossil fuels and starting from scratch to make new products, you just make new things from old things!
