Here’s your space to talk to kids from around the world.

By sharing what we know about climate change we’re all helping each other have a brighter future. Isn’t that a good idea?!

I know that global warming is about pollution. The Earth gets hot and it effects the world in certain ways. I don’t really know how it effects the Earth though.

I learned that global warming is when the air pollution rises and it makes a ¨shield¨. When the sun goes through the ¨shield¨ and gives us warmth. Some of the warmth escapes and some stays. This is called the Greenhouse Effect.

Global warming is when the air and atmosphere gets polluted. Pollution can effect the Earth in many ways, such as climate change, melting ice, floods, animals (including humans), plants, and many other things that cause a change in the Earth.

I am very interested about global warming, and how it affects the earth. In school, I learned about how the greenhouse effect is making an impact on the earth and it’s climate. After the assembly about global warming, I was very interested in the concept of what the earth will look like in 2100. I learned that a lot of Florida will be underwater, because the water levels are rising. I also find it really cool that in Antarctica, the ice is melting and building up more than it used to at the same time, so the earth is not being affected as much by Antarctica. Burning fossil fuels for electricity is not helping the fact that the earth is heating up. It is just adding to the CO2 in our atmosphere.

I think that global warming is when the the earth is heated up from the pollution. I am not sure, but this is what I think.

Now that I know that global warming is a lot of gases like greenhouse gas, carbine dioxide. Now I also leard from the asebally that weather is diffrent from climate change because climate change is weather from the past years and weather is now like this week.

Now I know what global warming is. It is the carbon dioxide that us humans produce in our everyday lives. This and a few other gasses trap in most of the sun’s heat, when a lot of it is supposed to go out. This is what I learned in a science book.

Now that I have read The Down-to-Earth Guide to Global Warming I understand that global warming is the cause of people using to much energy. The factories, cars, planes, turning on a light switch, and even breathing can put Carbon Dioxide in the air. Carbon Dioxide and other gases, Methane, Nitrous Oxide, can form a blanket around the earth which makes the earth get warmer than usual. Those gases trap the sunlight to stay close to the earth. They have bad consequences. They cause rising sea levels, hurrincanes and other things. We need to stop this.

After reading about the atmosphere in class I know that part of global warming is the Greenhouse Effect is why global warming is happening. The greenhouse effect is when all the gases like carbon dioxide is trap heat and the earth gets warmer.

My parents and I always talk about global warming; Its when the world gets hot because humans litter and because of the litter the air get’s polluted and it warms the sun more. Mean while in the south and North pole all the ice is melting and the animals like penguins, polar bears and seals have no where to go and live and they die, which can cause immediate extinction. This melting ice also effects our society. The water comes and floods our society and our houses and service buildings like shops, restaurants and health and security department all gets flooded and lost in the sea. The flood can be high as the statue of liberty! That is what I learned.

This also happens because humans burn fossil fuel and that releases carbon dioxide into the air which causes global warming.
