Here’s your space to talk to kids from around the world.
By sharing what we know about climate change we’re all helping each other have a brighter future. Isn’t that a good idea?!

The reason behind the natural disasters like cyclones, tornado ETC may be the result of Globel Warming. Sea levels are rising, cities are flooding also may the effect.

Thank you for this informative comment. However, I am still confused about this topic. Satellite feeds show that the ice caps are increasing in area. How does this show warming when ice is growing?

While you’re waiting for other kids to reply to your comment, think about the cause and effect relationships: warmer climate – increased evaporation – increased precipitation – increased snowfall (in some areas of the globe). Remember to look at the entire Earth, not just one part, to get the big picture and really understand global warming. Be sure to watch the other videos on the NASA site you mentioned, especially http://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/2016/climate-trends-continue-to-break-records. NASA is a good source for accurate information!

We can never completely. Every time a animal (including humans) breath we inhale air and then breath out CO2!!!

We are putting more CO2 in the air then the earth can absorb it.

I know that global warming is caused by burning fossil fuels. Then they act like a blanket (or a greenhouse hence the reason greenhouse gas effect) and traps the sunlight, warming the earth dramatically.

Global Warming is the earth heating up for example:cars, trains and more vehicles can cause global warming.

Now I know that global warming is the earth heating up. Factories cars, trains and other vehicles cause global warming. Global warming is happening now.

it is a melting polar caps

Plus penguins and polar bears are going extinct. so we need to stop polluting!!

Global warming is gradual climate change everywhere on earth caused by pollution which affects earths carbon dioxide and other things like floods and plants.

Now I know that some scientists believe that the start of global warming is the Industrial revolution.

I had heard about global warming and it means when the earth gets hot from garbage on the ground and the sun starts to gain more heat and then the sun melts ice and then after that there can be so much water it can create a tusamni and then it can destroy homes and buildings and animals that live in the cold frozen places of the world can die so this in conclusion you should take good care of the earth so none of these disasters will never happen. Thats what i know about global warming.

At the assembly listening to Dr.Olsen I learned something new, when seeing the charts on the screen I saw that the earth was heating up year by year and then I realized that humans are giving the air to much carbon dioxide.
