Here’s your space to talk to kids from around the world.

By sharing what we know about climate change we’re all helping each other have a brighter future. Isn’t that a good idea?!

Its good to know that people are doing things to slow down climate change. Its very important that we keep our earth healthy. We should teach people who dont know about it.

Yes, we agree, we should teach people the simple ways of helping to slow Global warming like recycling and turning off lights and other appliances

I agree to that we should teach them how to recycle and turn off lights and other appliances. we should also plant more trees and other plants because they take out carbon dioxide. if there is not a lot of carbon dioxide in the air it will slow down global warming. then animals wont be extinced.

We can teach them to recycle, and to use bikes for short trips and carpool for longer trips 🙂

With all of this extra heat and carbon dioxide, many species of animals are becoming extinct.Right now there are about 25,000 polar bears. By 2050 there will only be about 6.,000 left. Its really important to slow down climate change,or else many more animal species will be extinct.

Climate change is something that should be stopped. It should be stopped because the glaciers and ice bergs etc. will melt. Not only is this bad for the animals like polar bears, it’s bad for humans. Its bad for humans because sea levels will rise and get very high. High enough so that places will flood. Most of the important cities are by water. Like Manhattan,(it’s and island in NYC), in 30 years Manhattan will be flooded if humans keep this up!

Melting glaciers also add to much fresh water to the oceans which stops the different waters mix. This is bad for the plankton and many other sea creatures.

People around the world must help stop Climate Change. We all started it during the industrial revolution or beginning of large industries and haven’t stopped since. Climate change happens when humans let off greenhouse gases witch thicken our atmosphere therefore trapping more of the sun’s rays and heating up our plant. when our planet heats up earth’s air conditioners or the ice caps and ice sheets of earth melt. Heating up our earth and each year we release more greenhouse gases, making the problem worse.

Now I know, the oceans act like carbon sponges, the take in almost half of the world’s carbon dioxide. The oceans also takes in excess heat. When they do this they warm up hurting ocean life such as algae which is a basis for almost all ocean life.

Sea levels rise because of global warming. Glaciers, at the top of a mountain for example, will melt because of the heat getting trapped inside the Earth’s atmosphere. Once the glaciers melt, the water flows into the ocean and the water levels rise. If we don’t stop global warming soon, the melted glaciers with flood land.

Animals are in danger because of climate change and we need to try and help stop it

If lots of ice melts, then polar bears, penguins, and many more animals will start to go extinct. Some other animals might use animals that are becoming extinct as food and then they’ll go extinct too.

Because lots of ice is melting and the air is getting warmer, lots of animals will go extinct. Polar bears and penguins are some of them. If other animals use extinct animals as food, they’ll go extinct too. If we want to help stop it we need to let less CO2 into the atmosphere.

In science class we are learning about climate change and what it causes. Global warming is causing the Earth to warm up. When the Earth warms up the ice all around the world starts to melt. If the ice melts then it will get warmer. Ice reflects the suns rays back into the atmosphere but if there is no ice there is nothing the reflect the rays so the heat will stay here on Earth.

When the ice melts animals like polar bears are in danger. They need the ice to stand on to catch fish but if the ice melts they will have a harder time getting to the fish. We don’t want polar bears or penguins to get extinct so we should work together to put less carbon dioxide in our air.

Climate Change is bad for our earth. If we keep on adding carbon dioxide in the earth ice caps and glaicers will melt. The melted ice will turn into water and cause the sea levels to rise.

That is true, to stop the Climate Change we should recycle, use less electricity, and use less fossil fuels.

We agree so that is why we need to not cut down trees and everything that takes in CO2 and lets out oxygen for us.

    • Unknown's avatar Eliana USA says:

We should stop cutting down trees because it puts more carbon dioxide in the air. That causes more greenhouse gasses in the air as well. That´s why we should recycle more paper so we don´t have to cut down trees.

Global warming is very bad. With people clear-cutting, cutting down a lot of trees at one time, there are becoming less and less trees to take the carbon dioxide out of the air. And because we are burning fossil fuels, coal, oil, we are putting even more carbon dioxide into the air. Also, because the Earth is warming. Permafrost is melting releasing methane into the air. Methane is a stronger gas than carbon dioxide but it doesn’t last as long. This is why we shouldn’t use any fossil fuels. We could use windmills to create energy instead of fossil fuels.

Global warming makes trees dry letting insects into them. The insects make the tree weaker. Because the trees are drier, More wildfires happen. Wildfires kill many animals. And when the trees burndown, there is less and less room for monarchs to hide from the heavy rain.

i think that we should start planting more trees in the ground because the trees put oxigin in the air and take out the CO2 in the air.

I can’t believe that the sea level is rising about an inch a year! That could add up to a lot very quickly! I hope the kids and also the adults are able to stop it. A 1 degree difference is actually a lot. The glaciers are melting and thawing faster than ever! You should always think about climate change.

Climate change is causing a lot of animals and insects to become extinct! The polar bears are dropping very fast because the ice is melting at a fast rate. We should stop that!
