Kids Against Climate Change 
I know that climate change is when Greenhouse gasses are trapping the light and heat in the Earth’s atmosphere. The Sun admits rays of heat and light. They go to the Earth, and some heat gets absorbs by land and water, but some heat bounces off ice, or other stuff, and the heat that has bounced off goes back to the sun. On it’s way back, some heat gets trapped in the atmosphere by greenhouse gasses. Greenhouse gasses are gasses like carbon dioxide and methane, which trap heat.
But in the past 200 years, since the start of the industrial evolution, cars, and factories have been releasing too many of these gasses. The greenhouse gasses are trapping more and more heat, and therefore the climate is changing.

I know that factories can cause climate change. I know this because the pollution that comes out factories warms the air. Climate change can also be caused by emissions. Emissions are gas or radiations. I also know that greenhouse gases affect climate change. Over 200 years ago was the Industrial evolution when factories started polluting the air.

Now I also know that, climate change is causing droughts, heat waves, and flooding. ANIMALS ARE DYING FROM THE HEAT! Flooding has caused two beautiful land areas to flood. The island of Tuvalu have had plans to evacuate! When there are droughts farmers can’t grow crops. It can also take summer’s heat to the extreme. Heat waves are dangerous because when there is to much heat people can faint. Climate change is something that needs to stop.

I like how you said that animals are dying from heat because then people will actully understand that they have to save our planet from danger now and in the future. I know that people can cause climate change by factories! Your right! WE NEED TO STOP CLIMATE CHANGE NOW OR NEVER! We need to save our beutiful planet from the Co2 in the air polouting our land! We are releasing too much CO2 into the air. WE ARE CAUSING GLOBAL WARMING!!!!! All of us! We should help by using less electricity. A way to do this is to turn off the lights when we are done using them so that we burn less fossil fuels. We should also ride our bikes and walk more often. I walk home so that my parents burn less fossil fuels and release less CO2 into the Earths atmosphere. All of the CO2 is making the greenhouse gasses and trapping our precious sunlight in the atmosphere causing our Earth to heat up. This is very important. In class, we are writing a letter to the governor (andrew m cuomo) and trying to have a meeting with him about this. We as kids, need to know this for our future. Get ready greenhouse gasses, HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I know more about climate change. Now I know that oil companies release CO2 into our atmosphere too. They do this by paying a bunch of people to put out false advirtisement that global warming is not real. DONT BELIVE THEM!!!!!!!! First, there is just plain old algae. It then becomes decomposing algae. After that, it becomes oil. This is very bad. The oil then is used at places such as factories, gas stations, and more! This is all gas for transportation and such like airplanes.After that, its just plain air pollution, which makes it hard to breath, as well. From there, it becomes the greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases are a gas that traps sunlight in instead of letting it go back into the atmosphere. This is what is heating up the earth, melting the ice. Soon enough, the sun will have nothing to reflect on! This will make us even hotter than we already are, imagine a hot summer day! Anyway, the greenhouse gases then cause GLOBAL WARMING!!!!!!!!!! After global warming was well-in and started, it caused climate change, thus, making the world worse. Then, there are the effects of climate change. 1) pollution. 2) Greenhouse gases. 3) ice melting. 4) This then causes sea levels to rise. Where do you think all the melted ice goes? 5) Finally, we get flooded and die. Do you want to die? The scary thing is, these are just a few things about climate change that I am writing!!!!!!!

We need to stop climate change the earth is warming so then ice is melting and then the sea level is rising.But now i know even more about climate change. Global warming is causing droughts.Also climate change is causing heat waves too. Hundreds and thousands of people have died from climate change and so have animals. Droughts have been causing crops to die and we can’t get organic food so the farmers have to sell their farms because they have dead animals dead crops so they cant make money.

Global warming is causing ice caps to melt which is causing 2 things. Polar bears habitats to melt and the earth to heat up even faster! But we can slow it down. By using electric cars instead of ones that use gasoline:) And us kids want to have a good future so stop polluting cause we don´t like it!

I know that Carbon Dioxide is very effective to our earth. Climate change causes animals to go extinct. Factories, cars and much more causes climate change. We can not stop climate change but we can slow it down. Us kids have a whole future ahead of us and if we keep polluting it will cause climate change.So if we want to have a future we have to slow down now. When climate change speeds up, more ice will melt which will cause animals to loose their homes. We can slow down climate change by turning off light’s when we leave a room and more.

Now I also know, burning fossil fuels will also cause climate change. Coal, oil and natural gases are fossil fuels. Because of climate change we are losing a lot of trees because the climate change is making trees dry and then a forest fire begins. Why does this matter? Trees are very important to us because they suck up CO2 (carbon dioxide) which causes less climate change and then the ice will start to stop melting. As you can see we have to start slowing down climate change.

We can also slow down global warming by not using that much fossil fuels and use solar energy. And good point that we have a future ahead of us because if we don´t stop we might not have that future. This can make some people stop polluting if they care about animals. We can also slow down global warming by recycling stuff and use reusable things this can help slow down global warming by making factories stop reproducing new things.

Climate Change Is a very important issue for the world. All around the globe, fossil fuels are being burnt to create energy. With all the pollution in the air, the Light and Heat from the Sun get trapped on Earth, making it a lot warmer than it already is. The Light and Heat that is trapped on Earth melt the ice. The ice reflects the Light and Heat out of the atmosphere. Without the ice, the regular ground would absorb the Light and Heat. That makes the Earth warmer. Since the climate is changing so quickly, animals would probably go extinct since animals would probably not be able to adapt to the heat and die, not being able to reproduce.

I know that the glaciers and ice is melting. the glaciers and ice are melting so the sun won’t be able to reflect off anything so the land and ocean will absorb it. Also animals that live in the arctic are losing their habitat because the ice caps are melting. Also if we lose the ice than we could not read ice cores because the ice would be melted..

I also know that Global warming is causing floods and other natural disasters. These can destroy houses and crops. Without crops we cant have some food. These natural disasters can cause farmers to lose their job because without any crops what are they going to do.

I think that your thing you wrote up above was good I like how you explained about natural disasters and global warming can also lead to over 1,000,000 animal species to go extinct in the next 50 years then we won’t have as much food because animals supply a lot of our food

Now what I know about climate change is mostly about.I know that ice is melting,which is causing sea levels to rise.Global warming is also causing extreme bad weather such as hurricanes,tornados harder rain falls,and droughts.A lot of people think climate change is not real,or the globe is not warming,but you should ask them”have you speak to climatologist they would probably say no. Now you know they are wrong,it’s happening,and we want to stop that

You are right about people not believing in climate change. I like how you included on what to ask them if they didn’t believe in climate change. Also when the ice is melting, it affects animals to. Polar bears are starving to death because the ice they use is melting. When the polar bears go to get food they need to jump off the ice. If there is no ice to jump off of the polar bears can’t get there food. This is also happening to penguins. They are starving just like polar bears. We have to stop climate change so animals can get there food and they won’t become extinct.

Climate change is very important because if we don’t act fast the climate will rise to high and the icecaps are melting so the polar bears are going extinct and the sea levels are rising so there are more massive floods and wilder weather.

Now i know that some factories are polluting, by making new plastic and stuff. Now its getting dryer in some places, so crops are going dead and so the farmers lose money. Hockey and skiing are not working out.People have to make fake snow, so people can skii. In hockey the ice is melting.Our national parks, are just melting away. Leaves colors are becoming deformed, by climate change. Maple trees are drying, up the sap up so dryer pancakes. Athsma worsons because of dryer seasons and more pollen and thats what ive learned so far.

I totally agree with you where you state that factories are polluting, by making new plastic and etc… I also think that you did a great job towards the end when you talked about asthma and how it can get really bad. The detail was really good and I liked the way you added detail on every fact that you had stated. Also the people who farm and grow crops won’t make money and the food will be very, very, expensive.
